Butlin’s B-Serve 17+

We as a family are fed up with not being able to order drinks of the app so we can enjoy the show
Tonight there is no bitter that’s all I drink
My wife doesn't drink so she would like a hot drink but you don’t do this option
My son can only have nonalcoholic beer again you are not selling it
The children want slushes and again you don’t do this either
So this is not good and things need to change
I love Butlins but the apps need sorting so we can enjoy

So, there we were, trying to use the app to order click and collect pizza from the onsite Italian. On entering payment details, the app said that the payment hadn’t gone through. Tried again with same details and same thing happened. Thought it might be the site wifi, so changed to 4G. Exactly the same thing happened. We decided to go elsewhere, and then about an hour later discovered we had 6 pending payments on our bank accounts totalling about £180. The app said that no orders had been placed. To top this all off, the staff at the restaurant couldnt do anything about refunds and told us to wait until until the payments were refunded into our accounts (this can take 5 days or so). Apparently this had happened to lots of people and had happened the week before. Poor app design backed up by poor customer service from Butlins. I’d take your holiday cash elsewhere, go and spend it in Minehead - you can probably spend real money there too!

The first point is that yes, this app works and drinks tend to arrive fairly promptly after ordering. However there is a big issue to keep in mind - you always pay full price with the app - happy hours discounts are not available to you. I write this sat in Bar Rosso watching the queue of people grow ever longer. Nobody is using the app as it’s much cheaper to line up and pay in person. A big oversight by the app team at Butlins.
I’m ordering a premium drink that’s not in the happy hour and it’s come really quickly. Everyone else seems to have a 20-30 min wait in a post office style line to get to the bar. What’s that all about?!
