Blitz takes everything we love about classic Bejeweled and kicks it into overdrive. Match all the gems you can in less than a minute, unleashing dazzling pyrotechnics and point-multiplying combos to send your score into the stratosphere. The game's frantic pace is ideal for quick contests on the go, but its boundless one-more-try appeal makes it just as satisfying whether you play for a few rounds or 50.
Game is rigged but playable
- If you care about fair odds, this is the most important point so I put it first. When you play a rare gem at the end you get a board with an apparent “1 in 9” chance to get a high prize. So I tested it. I played 100 rare gems and each time I clicked the same spot. In a completely fair game the prize should have landed in that spot about 11 times. Nope, 0 times. So that theoretical 11% chance you might expect from a 1 in 9 choice game is actually less than a 1% chance. I’m confident that anything luck based in this game will be rigged.
So the good news is this. I haven’t spent anything on this game, nada, nothing. Have I watched the same ad over and over? Yes but usually I just put the phone down for 15 seconds and actually interact with the world or stare out a window. There’s no *need* to spend money. The base game mode with no special gems is always free so there’s no pay walls to hop if you just want to play. In fact, with the luck based bs I mentioned above I’d avoid spending money. Progress will be slow if you don’t have patience with the daily spin or if you struggle to get some high scores in the blitz champion board but tbh, the nature of the game is such that I’ve never played it for “progress” since it’s played in quick rounds.
So yeah, complaints are legitimate but I find it perfectly easy to play and enjoy without dumping the contents of my wallet into it.
500,000 coins?
I’m presuming the 9-piece lucky dip thing at the end of gem game is fixed? I’ve played gems every single day for as long as I can remember, and Not Once have I scored the 500,000 coin prize.
I’ve tried everything.
Looking away and picking completely at random, selecting the same one every single time for about a month, having someone picking any number between 1 and 9 and going with whatever they choose, passing my phone to someone and actually getting them to choose for me...
If it’s fixed, then why not just have a single prize button that you press without being given the impression you have a choice as to the outcome.
Not a massive issue obviously, but I’m curious anyway 🤷♂️
