ALTER EGO 9+

Honestly I didn’t expect much when downloading this game but it really changed that within minutes of opening it. I’ve had it for a month I think and I’m still so gripped on what is gonna happen next. I’m so curious about the characters and what they will say/think of my choices. I’ve kind of learned a bit about myself too. My only complaint is probably how much time needs to pass before you can muster up enough “ego” to take your next conversation with the mysterious woman but on the flip side, the game never throws random ads in your face nor does it expect you to pay for anything which I say makes up for it completely. I’m not one for phone games but I highly recommend this one to anyone who’s searching for a nice time passer or even just a quick 5 minute play. I also recommend it to those searching for a unique experience.

What a game. Everything about this game, from the concept to the art direction is astounding and beautiful. The atmosphere created by the art style and music is so mysterious and intriguing, fitting perfectly into the themes surrounding Alter Ego. Though it is a clicker game, to me, it is so much more. It’s a deep and thought-provoking experience that can help for oneself to understand themselves just a little bit more through reflections and insights. The story is so well-written too, and I love the use of multiple endings. I think the past reviews demonstrate how successful this game is, and I truly think this game will stick with me for a long time. Its music, its art, its themes - all are a delight to experience; and after playing through it three times, the journey is so unique and emotional. Alter Ego certainly is one of the best games I have played in a long, long time!

So this game is amazing. It’s probably the best mobile game..ever. I know that sounds like an exaggeration but it’s literally just so astounding. The calming music, to the mystery of Es, to the oddly accurate personality tests, it’s honestly just so perfect. However, it takes SO long to get enough ego to move on to the next chapter. Then again, that does make it pretty satisfying when you finally do get enough ego, but still. Just constantly tapping on the screen gets boring. I mean, maybe it’s me. I could be playing it wrong. I’m not very good at keeping up with the books so that could be a factor. But I digress. To anyone reading this review that’s contemplating getting the game, please do! It’s absolutely fantastic!
