Invest your time upfront by setting up all your administrative needs and then Acuity will give you, and importantly, your clients a seamless, fluid transaction from start to finish. From packages, subscriptions, gift vouchers, reminders, it is fabulous. I made a mistake by moving to Treatwell to improve my visibility but goodness, the user experience for your clients is littered with obstacles and increased my administrative duties threefold. In fact there is no comparison when looking at functionality.

The only thing I’d change would be the option to add fixed appointment times - I offer corporate well-being with set appointments times so being able to structure a calendar with these would be amazing. However, doesn’t take away from everything gained from having this scheduling software and will continue to use it as long as my practice is operational.

Update after update… still freezes and slow.

Edit April 24: the amount of updates that the app needs is extremely irritating. The issues have been evident since squarespace took over. Main issue is the app can be VERY UNRESPONSIVE. I’ve contacted directly but never reach a solution as the app needs fixing properly. You try and book a client in who is stood in front of you, or to check their booking history and you have to apologise due to the app not working and not responding. For my biz type I sometimes need quick answers to who’s booked in. Frustrating with the amount we pay.

App freezes and lags and becomes unresponsive. They persistently release updates, but it's frustrating as improvements seem elusive. Their emphasis on revamping branding overshadows crucial enhancements in app efficiency and usability. I wrote a review previously saying: App used to be great but over the past 2 months it’s become slower and slower. Now it freezes a lot. Just deleted and downloaded again and issue persists.

The best scheduling software out there

I’ve been using Acuity for my yoga studio since 2017 and am still impressed by the functionality of this platform. I love that I can offer a range of packages and memberships/subscriptions, with client forms available and multiple calendars for different services.

I moved to MindBody for a few months and moved back to Acuity as soon as I could - not because of the extreme difference in price (£300/mo vs £20/mo) but because Acuity actually does it better.

Their customer support is second to none, and both the mobile and the web apps are streamlined and super user friendly. I’d give you guys 6 stars if I could!
