Description

This is the companion app for the new Design Studio Press book: How to Draw.

Enhancing the learning experience, this app has been created to allow readers to use trigger images on pages to link directly to online tutorials via their iPhones and iPads. Using advanced video techniques, this app connects the printed matter to online digital educational content as never before, and insures that the book remains as current as the rapidly advancing techniques presented in How to Draw. Over 10 hours of video content have been created to accompany the book.

A physical copy of How to Draw is required to get the most out of the h2Dr app. Additionally, an internet connection is required to view the video content.

You can get your copy of the How to Draw book by visiting:

Functional if gimmicky and odd

The book is excellent, first of all. I had some trouble with the app as it plays no audio if my phone’s ringer is off, even if volume is turned up. The whole AR thing is a bit gimmicky and I’d honestly just prefer a list of videos to having to wave my phone around trying to get it to recognize a page. Did eventually get it to work though

Did the developers already forgot about this app?

The book is great but the app that comes with it doesn’t work on my phone. I hope they get this updated for iOS 12.2

Videos don't work

Unfortunately the videos don't play. I have an iPad mini on iOS6 and the videos look ready to play but every time I click on the arrow it never plays and I have to use the video links list to view the videos referenced in the book. I was really looking forward to this integration. Edit: I tried with my wife's iPad mini on iOS7 and the videos don't work from hers either.
