After an epic Formula 1 season packed with dramatic victories, the F1 TV app made race days among the most thrilling of the year—and not just for devoted fans.

F1 TV on Apple TV made us feel like we were rocketing down the circuit. Thanks to multiple cameras mounted throughout each car, we got more than just a view from the stands. We could see down every straightaway and around every corner, all from the driver’s point of view.

Watch the standard broadcast, switch to the in-car camera, and take in all the stats with F1 TV.

With F1 TV, we could essentially direct our own broadcast by selecting from a range of feeds: the main broadcast, a pit-lane camera, or a data channel showing lap times, pit stops, track position, and more.

But nothing made F1 triumphs more visceral than the ability to listen in on drivers’ real-time radio chatter. It was hard not to shed a tear alongside Charles Leclerc, the first Monaco native to win the Monaco Grand Prix in 92 years, as he crossed the finish line yelling a glorious “Yessssss!” Same for seven-time F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton, who was overcome with emotion after his win at the British Grand Prix.

The app also let us dig into the details. During October’s Mexico City Grand Prix, when rivals Max Verstappen and Lando Norris almost collided twice, we could review the cameras from both cars to decide for ourselves who was at fault—and listen to the endless back-and-forth between each team blaming the other.

And when we didn’t have time to catch a two-hour race in full, F1 TV queued up key replays, highlight reels, and post-race interviews and analysis.

This year especially, F1 TV made us feel we were part of the sport rather than just watching it. It’s a riveting Apple TV experience that fearlessly goes full throttle.

Fun fact

F1 TV also includes comprehensive coverage of F2. What’s the difference? F1 race cars are custom-built by their respective teams, while F2 cars are largely standardized to place an emphasis on driver and team skill rather than car design.
