Thank you for using the YMCA LA app! This feature update includes a new feature with an integration with ZAMA Health so members can access mindfulness content and exercises, peer communities, and other wellness benefits! pretty bad app
this app is incredibly buggy. it worked almost perfectly for a year or so after i got it, but recently it’s constantly been having issues with not remembering that i’m logged in, not showing classes, not loading, giving weird error messages. it’s great the Y offers this to reserve classes but it feels like whoever designed this stopped updating it and now it’s always having problems. pretty big bummer when you can’t reserve high demand classes and then miss out.
Constant issues and help desk reflex is to find fault with user
Every other week there's something and the Y will say it looks fine on their end and try to find fault with the user. I have screenshots of it saying I do not have an active account despite their insistence that I show up as active. Um, it's your app? If you can't fix it you should at least find someone who can instead of gaslighting your patrons. It's about to be a year of this and majority of the staff are disappointing, especially for the Y. The supreme lack of inclusivity and basic human decency is atrocious. Incredibly rude.
Impossible to book courts
To book a squash/racquetball court, you have to just pick a time and see if it is available. Because most of them are not, you have to do that over and over again — it’s like trying to catch a fish! A future update should list available times so you can choose one…
