Description

Data is kept locally on your device. No internet connection is needed to use the app once downloaded, except for backup and restore. Supports dark mode.

Keep track of which rabbits or cavies are due to have litters, which rabbit litters are due to wean or process, and increase the productivity of your animals with WhosDue. WhosDue is a litter record keeping app that provides statistics to show you how your animals are performing in addition to keeping track of all of their litters.

With WhosDue you can have all your breeding and litter record info with you wherever you are, and easily see who is producing well and who isn’t at any time without having to check cage cards, giving you the information you need to make decisions to make your rabbits or cavies more productive.

Features:
• See a list of who’s due to have a litter, which rabbits are due to be palpated, and which rabbit litters are due to be weaned or processed sorted by due date and grouped by Breed on the main screen.
• Get a notification for rabbits that a nest box needs to be put in with the doe before the doe is due and another reminder the morning she is due. The number of days before the due date can be customized in the settings screen.
• Get a notification when a rabbit is ready to palpate or a rabbit litter is ready to wean or process. Notifications can be turned on and off in the settings screen to customize which ones you get.
• Get a notification for cavies that they are due at the beginning of the gestation range for cavies.
• Quickly and easily see the survival rate or largest litter size of all animals of a breed ordered from highest to lowest. Tap a row to bring up the litter record for that animal to see the full details of all its litters. Easily toggle the view to show inactive rabbits and cavies or all rabbits and cavies instead of only active ones.
• Breedings still due can be deleted or edited by swiping left on the litter tab of the main view.
• Adding a breeding, updating results, or deleting a breeding automatically makes the change for both the buck and the doe.
• View all the animals you have of a breed grouped by gender. Easily toggle the view to show inactive rabbits and cavies or all rabbits and cavies instead of only active ones.
• Use the date calculator to find out when breedings need to be done to have each class of rabbit for a show. Just enter the date of the show and the dates are calculated for all classes.
• Keep a list of all the miscellaneous rabbit and cavy related tasks you want to get done right in the app, and set a date time for a notification if you want a reminder.
• Backup your data to iCloud and restore from iCloud to transfer your data between devices or to just keep a backup of your data.
• Print a 3" x 5" cage card and 2 1/2" x 4" carrier card from the rabbit/cavy list.
• Print a 3" x 5" cage card and 2 1/2" x 4" carrier card for a litter from the litter record.
• Print a pedigree in portrait or landscape orientation including custom logos from the rabbit/cavy list.
• Supports marking rabbits as Vienna Marked and Vienna Carriers.
• See all of the active does currently available to breed and create rebreed reminders.
• Supports dark mode.

So far, so good.

Wish there was a way to add a photo of the rabbit to their card on here. Seems that an app would already have this, especially a paid for app. I probably would have stuck with a different one if I would have known this to be honest.

Also, with the pedigree it should show the color as a color, not variety. Or if it is going to say “variety: (color of rabbit)” it should also include the breed there as well.

(EDIT; developer responded about the color/variety portion of the pedigree layout, and that makes sense I clearly didn’t think about that 🤦🏻‍♀️ so i redact what information originally said about that. So therefore the thing I wish would have photos for the rabbits). Also idk how or why my “name” in the review is a really angry face? 😅

Developer Response ,

Thank you for the review. I went with variety as the label because that’s the proper ARBA term. It doesn’t show the breed for each rabbit because all rabbits on a pedigree should be the same breed, and are required to be to register the rabbit. Pictures is something I still have some concerns with, size of the card on the screen and size of the backup. So I’ve been focusing on other functionality and will look into that more and decide on that at some point later.

Great Application

We raise both rabbits and cavies and this is a great way to keep track with something that is always on my person.
The “other” field for both color and breed is great as we work with tri color mini Rex and so have things like “harliquinzed castor” and the such. Note allows me to put in show notes, meds given or worming done at the time or if something silly like broken nails or whatever.
The one thing that I would like to see, and it may not be possible just due to the set up and to make sure people don’t abuse the system, would be a way to share the app with people in the family. Our rabbits are mine and my daughter’s. We raise for show and meat/pelt in our rabbits and show/pet with the cavies at this time, being able to have the app on both our phones but only having to input info once would be great. I would even be willing to pay for the app on her phone if f there was a way (account number/password) that we could share info.
That by no means is a reason not to get this app though.

Great tool for your caviary/rabbitry

Love the app so far! It keeps all my caviary info organized without needing a hundred word documents, lol, and is super convenient since it’s all on my phone. Love the fact that I can print out pedigrees and cage cards too! I do have a few things I wish were different, but other than those it’s a great tool. 1. Wish we could enter cavy weights in just oz instead of needing to enter it in lbs and oz, but you can only enter up to 15oz and most cavy breeders and showers record weight in oz only. 2. Wish you could have more than one of the same ear number (sometimes you get cavies that are tagged with a number you already have in your herd) or it would be nice to enter n/a or something for those that aren’t tagged/haven’t been tagged ye

Developer Response ,

Thank you for the review and feedback! Updating the app to handle duplicate ear numbers/tag numbers is something I’m working on now. There’s quite a bit of work to it so it’ll probably take me several weeks. But it’s coming. To do oz only I’ll have to look into that one. Rabbits and cavy’s use the same screen for it so not sure if that’s feasible.
