Great app for a great cause

I participated in the UPenn Safe Driving Study and allowed them to monitor my phone usage through this app while I drove. It’s simple to use and worked great for me. UPenn notified me when the study concluded so I could uninstall the app.

I’m honored to participate in this research study. I hope we can make the roads a safer place for everyone.

An added bonus was getting paid after every week I drove while the app monitored my habits. Getting paid for something you’re already doing is a deal I’m always down for! The payments were easy to access and I added the virtual debit card to my Apple wallet so I could use it just about anywhere.

Legitimate study app

This app was great for learning more about how my driving habits are perceived by telemetry devices. Driving a sports car doesn’t look great for the data that was collected with the app seeing “hard braking” and rapid acceleration resulting in lower scores. I didn’t think I was stopping hard or launching too much but the app surely thought so. It’s nice to see this data, and it’s convinced me not to use a tracker from my insurance! This study paid well too.

Terrible. Don't Download This App!

Terrible app and study. Showed as recording drives in the app, but I got texts that no drives were recording. Sent an email and they said fine on their end. A month later got kicked out for not driving enough. Tried to get payment for my month of drives but they said I only earned $5. Got emails saying there were issues with payment. Tried to withdraw my $5 weeks later and ran into error. Emails are inconsistent and no coordination between team members. Wonder if the study is actually about behavior and $*** people are willing to put up with. Don't believe researchers at an Ivy League school would intentionally be this stupid. Don't waste your time.
