Ratings and Reviews
Great things coming
This app is still under development and so doesnt yet have everything that’s intended. That being said! 🦄✨ This is still phenomenal for getting your brain to associate first position notes on the violin with the actual notes on the staff. 🎻 This was a disconnect i had which was hindering me. How awesome to have a way to practice this even when i can’t take my violin out! It means i can drill in practice almost anywhere! (I miss having a tally of how many rounds or minutes I practiced in a day... like a log. I hope hat gets added soon). This plus the notestrainer app (for 🎹) are a GODSEND. My sight reading has improved dramatically (treble, bass, and grand staff). If u put in the time, you will get better. These apps just make that more easy/accessible. THRILLED. 😆💜
Learning The Violin
This is a very straightforward and basic app that helps memorization both for reading the treble clef notes, and finger positioning.
I highly recommend this app if you want to learn the violin with as few crutches as possible. If you learn to walk in your mind without crutches, it’s easier to learn the violin without crutches. I am challenging myself, not to use tape as I have a good ear, and not to use any finger stickers. I do this app as a warm-up between 15 minutes to an hour every single day, both in the morning and at night. If you stop site reading, you will become rusty. keep practicing keep practicing keep practicing.
Small app with big impact!
I’m just starting out, learning violin. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to take formal lessons yet, and have had to rely on online resources for learning.
As a technically oriented person, I struggled to find a clear representation of the note progression on the violin fingerboard, until the first time I played this app. About half-way through the first lesson, it clicked. I was still slow, but I hit fewer wrong notes.
