I’m grateful! I thank you for your patience in understanding me because I am still studying English and I know how difficult it is to communicate sometimes, but I have never felt treated with any kind of prejudice or I no longer have needs met for it.

Third call I received an answer and asked to speak to the nurse in my doctor office. After MUCH explanation he transferred me to the office. It took over 2 hours from the first call to get an appointment and referral. Once a person is established with the doctor why can we not be able to reach our doctors office? When returning a call to MY doctor I still had to beg the call center person to let me speak to the office. I really like my doctor but I will be searching for another primary care doctor because of the call center.

Village Medical is probably great for a doctor who doesn’t want to employ a full service front office that includes bookkeeping tasks. However a receptionist who is the in-office liaison between the doctor or nurse and patient is still part of the practice. How can you communicate with the medical provider? You cannot talk to them directly. You must pass communication through the Village Medical system of telephone operators or internet online website. No actual communication with your medical provider occurs. You can ask for a telephone call back from the provider but with the request going through Village Medical it takes two or three days for the callback to occur.

I want to communicate directly to my local doctor’s office in a timely manner. Village Medical is a huge barrier to communication! From a patient perspective Village Medical is not a value added service.
