Description
Performance Test is a companion app for the VBOX Sport which uses a high accuracy GPS receiver to enhance the capabilities of your iPhone.
This app requires a connection to a VBOX Sport to collect performance data. Without this connection you will only be able to see a demonstration of its capabilities, it will not allow you to measure the performance of your car.
The VBOX Sport collects GPS data much more frequently than a phones internal GPS engine - allowing a level of accuracy previously unheard of with iPhone and iPad apps. Our Performance Test app uses this data to provide you with your vehicle's acceleration, deceleration and VMAX as previously only possible with professional Racelogic VBOX equipment.
You can quickly and accurately measure your 0-60 acceleration time, turn your test track into a dragstrip and measure your 1/4 mile time and trap speed. Different modes allow you to measure your braking performance and zero to zero times, all using the same VBOX technology used by all the major motor manufacturers and car magazines around the world.
All of the apps functionality is available when you are connected via Bluetooth to an iOS device running iOS 14.0 or later. If you are not connected to a VBOX Sport the app will launch in demo mode to allow you to sample the features.

Sort vs performance box
I bought the sport thinking is serves the same functions as performance box. However it does. Not! We use performance boxes for testing outboard boat drag racing to get a live time in the boat without downloading the data. We use the distance test function set to start at 8mph and in at 800ft as to we have a rolling start for our races and race 800ft. The sport does not offer this function. It would perfect it if did as a iPad is a nice easy display to see in the boat! Maybe the this function could be created?
Like it, but...
Any chance it will be made to work with iPad in landscape mode? Want to give more stars, but I can't at this time, same goes for the Diagnostics application. My iPad is my central hub for data acquisition as well as my car audio. As such it resides in a landscape position, which makes it difficult to use the apps.

Please add CARPLAY support!!! Otherwise it is a perfect app!
Racelogic has always bestnproducts in terms of hardware, but software wise you got to work more my friends!
What seperates your product from good to perfect in my opinion is:
- APPLE CARPLAY support
- adaptability in portrait/landscape mode, or at least design all your apps for one mode, and not one for portrait and another for landscape only ;)
