USA Historic Places has over 25,000 United State (USA) historical Wikipedia places in its database. You can browse historical places around your current location or around a chosen location.
Because all historical place data is resident in the app cellular data usage is kept to a minimum.
USA Historical Places may be used offline.
Offline Capabilities: Wikipedia article text, list of nearby historical places and offline maps.
Not Available Offline: Driving and walking directions, street view, nearby businesses and the ability to choose a location other than your current location.

Waste of a dollar
Can only access a place via a list. Can’t select it by map. Also the location feature doesn’t work. Awful stay away
Poor effort
Text unreadable in dark mode.
Location search is useless with ambiguous place names.
Can’t search by historic place name.
No geographic browse.
