Gems and Content

This game is great with a basic turn-based game, however there is one thing that always bothered me when playing, which are the gems. There aren’t manny ways to get gems besides either watching videos (12 per day for 10 each) which isn’t a lot, or paying. The former is honestly up to the user but some don’t want to due to the time consumption which I get. The latter is paying, which if you’re a F2P is honestly infuriating. My suggestion would be to add more ways to get gems such as Daily Quests, Daily Rewards, or perhaps something out of pocket like once per week you do a special mission/dungeon to get gems, the farther you go the more gems you get. This also adds to my next personal problem, yeah there’s 2 Maps and a multitude of characters which you’re able to replay and grind but after a while it feels boring and empty. I would suggest adding more content as dungeons as I said previously, just something to do if you’re bored and want to do something different.

Good game but pay-to-advance and not satisfying to win

The game is great, but you can’t advance anywhere without paying. There are many unlockable characters and another chapter but you can’t unlock any of those things without purchasing diamonds. There’s no way to win diamonds and price on them is quite high. You literally only get one free character and only able to play with that one unless you pay. (You can get 10 free dimonds per ad in the store, but those ads are limited and since the cheapest character cost 800, it’s meaningless)

The game design is hardcore - it’s extremely difficult, which is nice on one hand but makes it frustrating on the other because it’s not balanced well. Very often you can’t get far if you don’t get certain set of skills which are randomly granted throughout the whole game, and it’s only based on luck. But this part is tolerable, makes it more realistic.

However, the worst part is that finally winning the tower doesn’t feel satisfying in any way. It took days to learn each enemy move, and to get a satisfactory set of skills, and to finally defeat the crazy end bosses, but at the end they don’t even give you a single diamond, don’t unlock a single character or chapter, and you don’t even get enough experience to get to another level of “destiny”, which is a permanent in-game character improvement (I was on lvl.2 and didn’t even to get lvl.3 after beating the game).

Sketchy English, Disjointed Segments, Boring Combat

First of all, the English is a bit sketchy. I’m pretty sure it’s Asian-based ESL. They really need a good editor to help them write in the proper tenses and correct minor mistakes because the content isn’t bad at all. What really kills this game is that it goes from one disjointed segment to the other. There is no depth to the story, no filler and no atmospheric immersion (which is a shame since you’re dealing with a mysterious tower in an arctic wasteland inhabited by unholy priests and the undead! The way this is written you might as well be at Walmart! Instead of reading an immersive story you just get segments. You go from fight to fight to fight to fight. 9/10ths of which find you facing one enemy and blocked from behind by another. It’s yawn-time. If you simply invest in Reflection, Adaptation, Defense, etc, you can basically block your way clear of any fight so there is no real difficulty. There are also no real choices to be made. You don’t choose the direction you’ll go, or whether to run or fight or how to deal with enemies. There’s no talking, spell casting, running, or bribing your way out of anything. And after every fight you get a reward that buffs your character into OP pretty quickly.

If they invested in fleshing out a coherent story with more immersive content, more decisions, better English and a more balanced reward system, this could be really great! I really hope they do.
