The Scuttle: Life. Organized‪.‬ 4+

Great App

I love this app. I’m the type of person who needs to write things down and creating To Do lists has never been easier. It also makes you feel more productive! It’s great for organizing events with multiple people as well. We went camping the other weekend and The Scuttle helped our group nail down everything we needed before the trip. Whether it’s grocery shopping, planning a vacation, or organizing a Friendsgiving, this app is universal and practical in so many ways. I’ll be recommending this to all my friends.

Good, not great

I’ve been using this app for an hour, so I can’t speak to long-term usefulness. However in that hour, I’ve discovered a few things:
1- it crashes. The app crashed on me 3 different times, although once was when I was trying to upload 100+ photos into one of the attachments folders.
2- it causes other apps to reset. I listen to a LOT of audiobooks, but going to Libby (library app- 5 stars, highly recommend), hitting play, and then heading back to Scuttle, the book stops playing, and when I pull down from the top right to hit play again, it says nothing’s playing.
3- it’s very versatile, being able to jot notes, create to do lists, add contacts & photos or other files, but you have those sections, and they can’t be reordered. For example, the “who to know” section always appears at the top, and I’d much prefer it to be at the bottom. Minor, I know, but still somewhat annoying.
4- I really like the variety of the categories: there’s a spot for notes, and a separate spot for To Do’s. You can create multiple to do lists under the same scuttle board, or keep it all as one. I just wish I was able to dump everything together, like a single Pinterest board, rather than separate ones for To Do’s, notes & events. It’s an option I’d LIKE, but not essential.

Overall, a really good app, and with a few tweaks, could be amazing.

1-Sorry you’re experiencing some crashes—if you could email us at info@thescuttle.com with some details of what you’re seeing that would help us out a lot so we can fix the issues. We’ll look into photo upload crash issue you mentioned and fix asap.

2-Not sure what could be causing the app reset issues, if there are a lot of apps open or you’re doing a lot of performance intensive tasks (ex. Uploading many photos, videos, creating a lot of content, etc.) Apple will automatically close other apps to give more memory to the current app you’re using (that is up to Apple not us). This can also happen more frequently on older phones. This sometimes can cause crashes on apps as well if it’s using too much memory. Hope that helps explain what might be happening on your phone!

3-Reordering your Scuttleboard sections is coming very soon :)

LOVE

I love this app with my whole heart. It’s everything I ever have needed to organize my crazy life. At one glance I can find everything I need without having to hit a million buttons to get there. So simple, so easy, so useful. I’ve been telling everyone I know about this app.

Suggestions below!!
-More simple backgrounds (I have premium now but a few more “aesthetic” backgrounds might appeal to the younger crowd!)
-more chat and “jot it down” features would be lovely! (to better organize notes)
-bolding names and boards in notifications would be helpful
-a mini calendar in “what’s on tap” or maybe another section so you can see all of the “what’s on tap” entries from each board would be amazing!!

We hope to enhance the chat feature, and the Jot It Down could use a few enhancements. Bolding names and titles in Notifications is going to happen soon - be on the lookout!
