Description

This is a completely new version of the original game (‘Count FEFE’) which was developed through the Financial Education for Future Entrepreneurs (‘FEFE’) project, funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.

In the game you play the role of entrepreneur, running a start-up retail business selling upcycled musical instruments. You run your business over a series of simulated months, responding to events, making business decisions, recording transactions (if you choose the manual bookkeeping mode), interpreting financial information, and completing timed multiple choice quizzes.
As you prove your accounting and finance literacy and your business successfully meets its financial targets you will progress through to new levels of the game, unlocking new business features, new financial data, and new challenges.

Eventually, if you successfully complete all four levels of the game your business will become listed on the Transylvanian Stock Market.
The game is particularly aimed at those studying introductory accounting courses but will be relevant to anyone who wishes to improve their accounting and finance skills for business, including practicing managers and entrepreneurs.
This version of the game includes several new features compared with the original version including the following:
• An ‘easy’ and ‘hard’ mode for the timed quizzes
• A ‘periodic inventory bookkeeping’ option (in addition to ‘perpetual inventory bookkeeping’)
• The ability for the user to choose the number of bookkeeping transactions to perform in each simulated month
• A new scoring system
• The ability for educators to customise the questions in the game to suit their own requirements
• The ability for educators to access learner analytics data for their students
