My Eagle
Read the Eagle faithfully each morning. Of course, Saturday is more like a magazine with fine writing. I do find, however, that your reporters appear to be either south county or north county since those areas seemed to be prevalent in Eagle articles.
Local sports are now covered in great length which has not been the case for several years. The Eagle also has been receiving very intelligent letters to the editor which I look forward to each day.
I read the web version when necessary but all the kinks haven’t been eliminated as yet. But, hey, keep up the great job. I sure would hate not to have it.
Not as good as paper, but....
I adjusted much more easily to the e-edition than I expected. My ease is due to its extremely well done format, making it so simple to use.
I still enjoy the paper edition, 5 days a week, with my cup of coffee, but I have stopped dreading Mondays, with only the e-edition.
And Sunday mornings are just not the same without a Sunday paper. I have recently begun purchasing a Boston Globe for my Sunday reading. Even an E-edition of the Eagle would be good. Relaxed Sundays without a newspaper just do not seem right! :-)
And one more note...my Dad, an avid reader, is in the nursing home. He has a subscription to the Eagle and dearly misses his Sunday and Monday paper. He is often confused and does not understand what happened to his paper. Dad is unable to learn the skills needed to maneuver the e-edition. I feel badly for him.
I know that technology is taking over. I know that we all need to adjust. I do take comfort from the knowledge that the e-edition of the Eagle is top notch!
Local news at a glance
Really like this app for keeping up with my local news. Only issue I have is that when I scroll through the headlines and then click on a story - when i return it always starts at the top again and I have to scroll from the first headline all over again. Wish it kept my place.
