Description
Texas Traveler shows you the current status of major roads and highways throughout the state. By accessing Texas Department of Transportation extensive road data, you can view traffic cameras, read alerts about construction and other road-related issues, get stats from weather stations, and read roadside signboard messages. You can also view flood stations and their current status around the whole state, as well as those numerous historical markers you've always been meaning to stop and read. Also available is Google Traffic, to show you how congested the roads are in real time.
All of this is displayed on a map with ease of use for panning and zooming. Only interested in certain areas? You can define your own regions and quickly view them, or use one of the several predefined areas.
What’s New
Version 3.2
This minor release fixes these issues:
1. The highway labels disappeared when we upgraded the underlying map technology. This fix brings the labels back
2. We renamed the "Filter" tab back to "Legend". You can still filter the pins you see, but we felt the purpose of it is mainly as a legend, so we renamed it back.
Ratings and Reviews
Bugs Fixed!!! Great App!! Very Handy!
Sooooo glad to have this back up! I had this or similar app long ago and it stopped working at some point. Just thought to go see if it was working again and came across this developer and his app. Once you select cameras under layer it works just fine! I hope those with all the one star reviews will reassess and consider updating their reviews because there isn’t anything wrong with this app! Feature request to maybe get more frequently updated images (currently 10 minute intervals is the minimum) but it may be TXDOT limiting it. Who knows. Wish I had the live view that dispatchers get lol! Anyway, give the app a try. It is nice to be able to see for certain how things are looking out there. Thanks Developer dude for your efforts here!
Waisted time
Serves no purpose or function than google maps, at least google maps gives you start and end time with traffic conditions and arrival time
Deleted ten minutes after downloading it
Confused
How come your app doesn’t show actual video of the areas that it pouting at but instead it just shows a photo that a little boring. Missouri has a app similar to your except it shows live video of the highways an such
