Just tap along the beat of your favorite music to measure the BPM of the song.
„The perfect app for discovering BPM. Way faster and more accurate than anything that claims to be able to detect it automatically.“
This is a small utility for musicians, music producers or people who just want to know the tempo of their musical ideas.
The tabbed tempo resets after a few seconds automatically.
What’s New

Works great
My only issue with this app is that I think there should be an option to hear a clicktrack. I use this taptempo when writing new music and it would be nice to be able to hear the tempo while writing so I can hear that the different sections of the song are at the same tempo. If that is added I would definitely give 5 stars
It does what it says
I’m a audio engineer and I have primarily used pro tools for tapping the tempo out for a song. The reason why I tried this app instead of pt is because pt is unsupported with the new OS X for Mac currently at the moment. To be honest I didn’t trust Logic Pro X tap tempo, So I downloaded this app to figure out the tempo of a project that I’m currently working on.
I will admit that when you tap it the first time it gives you a lower BPM. So I tap my foot and go along with the beat and tap it out with app that’s the only thing I see wrong with the app. This app is very reliable and useful is my go to app for the most part is fairly accurate I have no issue but the glitch on the first tap beat is low. Other then that is a gem.
Misleading
The way this seems to work is it gives you the average tempo at any given time. The idea is: if you're tapping along to a song, it will give you a more constant, accurate reading. Traditionally, a tap tempo would only tell you the tempo between the last two taps. This averaging should work well, however..
There is a bug. Fairly often, when you do the first tap, it will think that you've tapped some very low tempo like 20bpm. This completely breaks the average and you have to tap for a long time to get even close to the correct tempo.
It would be good if they fixed this.
