Tachimanga 17+

I was a huge Paperback user when the reader first came out. Over time, it got sluggish and extension support dwindled as the dev slowly shuttered the community in order to go public. In comes Tachimanga. It remains stable where other readers would crash, extensions are up to date and functional, and the app is receiving true updates. There’s some missing functionality that I would love, such as setting a specific library to default to a certain reader mode. But, for what it is now, save for the ads (shoutout NextDNS for blocking those), it’s an amazing reader app.

I've been using this app for a while, and I genuinely appreciate the effort that’s gone into making it such a useful tool. It’s such a great app for us Tachiyomi/Mihon fans.

However, I was disappointed to find that the Face ID and passcode lock features are locked behind a subscription. While I understand the need to monetize the app, I believe that basic security features like these should be available to all users. In today’s world, protecting personal data is crucial, and it feels unfair to restrict such essential privacy tools.

I think making these features accessible to everyone would not only enhance user trust but also show that the developers truly care about the safety and privacy of their entire user base, not just those who can afford to pay for a subscription.

Another thing, adding the option to backup files to Google drive would be a great addition.

I hope the developers will reconsider this decision. The app is already great, but making security features free for all users would make it even better. And an immediate 5 star.

The app is great and props to the devs for fixing bugs and actually doing things to make the app better. There is one thing the app is missing and its the chapter updates. The chapter releases normally in the websites but doesnt reflect in the app in itself so there is a gap and long wait before it shows up. I can see that there are new manga, manhwa, and manhuas introduced in the app but additional chapters that gets released doesnt so i hope the dev team sees this and fix this because i dont like how i need to go to the website to read the new releases. Until then, ill leave this with 4* and change my review when it gets fixed.
