Love it!

Myself and my kids are all very fair skinned. I can’t tell if or when we need to apply sunscreen, just by looking outside. Sometimes the rays are strong, even when it looks cloudy, or not that bright out. That’s where this app comes in. It tells me how strong the rays are, hourly, and estimates how long it would take us to burn. I love this app!!! It’s cheap too! Only $2.99 per year. I use it all the time! First I check my weather app for rain, then I use this app to check the rays. I highly recommend this app. To the owners/creators, please don’t drastically increase the subscription cost.

YOU NEED TO READ

so don’t get me wrong i love this app but every time i go somewhere and i want to now the UV it says somewhere that i was before and not my location so i have to delete the app and get it back ( minus a star )and i live in XXX and it said that i was in XX witch i’m very far from that place( minus a star )so it’s not accurate at all, sometimes and on my other weather app that’s very accurate and, trustworthy said the UV was like 7 and this app said it was 10 ( minus a star )so i was very confused. the widget is so hideous ( minus a star )so developer please make new widgets and it says the max UV is 10 and it’s not so (minus a star) and a lot of the stuff it pro and your basically paying for the hole app and the stuff that’s free is like the UV and 3 days of the UV and the widget that’s plain white with the UV on it and your location and whatever this thing is it’s like this 🔅\76 i love this app but it needs A LOT OF IMPROVEMENT i’m giving it a 1 star but would give it a 0

Hi, this is Richard - developer of Sunbeam 👋 Thanks for your feedback and sorry the app hasn’t been meeting your expectations. If you reach out to me using the support link in the app I can try to help you fix the issue you’re having with the app picking up your location correctly. One thing to try might be enabling ‘precise location’ for Sunbeam in the Settings app - by default the app only uses your approximate location for privacy reasons. As for data accuracy, Sunbeam uses Apple Weather for its UV Index data so you should find that this lines up with the built-in Weather app. I also would love to introduce more widget options in future - so if you have any specific suggestions for what you’d find helpful please feel welcome to send them my way 🙏

no words but AMAZING

I don’t usually review apps but I think this one deserves it! This app is so simple and easy to use I love it so much! I set it as a widget on my home screen and it looks so good with my background. It has the weather, degrees, and UV. I’ve been traveling a lot recently and it switches for each city you are in without having to adjust any setting— convenient! I love using this app to track the perfect times to tan and how much sunscreen I need. The hourly is the best for that! Thanks so much for making this!!
