What’s New
Version 4.0
HUGE update!
• Ever feel confined by the text boxes and the taps? No more! Ever wanted to draw your own home-run line, or ground ball dashes, or have your own handwriting on the score? Well, YOU CAN NOW DRAW ON THE SCORECARD! Whaaaaatttttt. First zoom in, and then tap the "Draw" button at the top of the page! Use your finger or a stylus. You can change how wide of a line to draw in settings, and (of course) the color is customizable too! Wowee!
• Edits are now quick and easy for editing the score or the base path numbers! Long press and it takes you to a new mini menu to update that score! Want the full screen? No problem, either tap the "More" button or long press somewhere outside of the field! (like on the RBI spot, for example).
• More power to customize requires more power to fix it! Now the "Undo" and "Redo" buttons will keep on workin‘ as you switch between home/visiting teams, and even when you close the app and come back to score your game later! Woo hoo!
Hope you enjoy these off-season updates!
Idk about you, but we're already ready for baseball season to start back up!
Ratings and Reviews
Really is just like scoring in paper
Really is just like scoring in paper which is exactly what I was looking for. Enjoy using this app.
The only update I currently would like to see added is an option to freeze the first column as always viewable or at least display the player names in the same way that the inning and batting order numbers are when scrolled off the screen.

Thanks for the great review and the great feedback!
I'll look into freezing the player numbers instead of just the batting order numbers in an upcoming release.
Keep the feedback comin‘!
Best E scorebook I’ve used so far!
I used StrikeEmOut for the first time today to score a ML game as I listened to it on the radio. I liked that it is so similar to scoring with pencil and paper, as I used my Apple Pencil and iPad. Here are a few suggestions for improvement:
-I was very impressed that I could easily import the line ups for the games, but disappointed that the uniform numbers of the players did not import. Maybe an update can import the numbers?
-I found it very annoying that if I touched a previously completed play it immediately erased the play I'd input and replaced it with a "K". Sometimes this happened without me even knowing it, so I may have lost the play. Perhaps a future update can add a lock function to completed plays (with the ability to unlock to edit), or a question "Do you want to edit this play?" so that completed plays remain unchanged when inadvertently touched.
-Colors: How about automatically asking for a color change when a pitcher changes, to make the batters faced by each pitcher a different color.
-And I like the Export Game as Image. How about Export as a pdf?
-And the "View Player Hitting Stats..." doesn't seem to work. The list of player has correct AB, R, H, RBI numbers, but when I open an individual player all the stats are goose eggs.
-And how about the ability to add a written narrative to a play, explaining in words what happened for those confusing plays.
But so far so good - the best e-scoresheet I've seen so far.
Developer Response ,
Thanks so much for the great review and all the detailed feedback!
Note that there is an "Undo" button at the top of the screen, if you accidentally fat finger the wrong play and it turns it into a "K"! This Undo button will set it back to whatever play it was previously.
I would also like the ability to import player numbers, but unfortunately this is easier said than done — I'll look into other approaches to see if it's possible.
I'll be trying to incorporate the rest of the feedback into upcoming releases — I like the ideas, and apologies for the bug on the Player Hitting Stats page.
Keep using the app, and keep the great feedback comin‘!
Love the ability to customize
I love keeping a paper scorebook and have been reluctant to try keepimg score on iPad because I don’t always use a standard way. This app comes as close as any I’ve seen to letting me do that, including tracking how runners get around the bases. With color options, it’s even more customizable now. Best scorebook app available.
Developer Response ,
Hey there!
Thank you for reviewing StrikeEmOut!
I'm so glad to hear that you are enjoying using the app! It was a goal of this app to make it as close as possible to a paper scorebook!
