Description
STL Simple Viewer is a great app to quickly view 3D STL files.
Features:
- Supports both ASCII and Binary STL files.
- Load an STL from a ZIP file.
- Graphic operations for Rotating, panning, zooming.
- View your model in Orthogonal or Perspective mode.
- Obtain info on the model: triangle count, bounding box, area, volume.
- Set up rendering options: faces, edges, points, transparency.
- Render using a clipping plane (useful for viewing interiors).

Simple and intuitive, just one complaint
Does what it’s supposed to with some useful options, just really wish it was possible to turn off the shiny, reflective lighting/shading on models
Paid for the Ad-Free version but app keeps crashing
The app worked great when it was still loading the adds. I paid for it to support the developer. Now about every 3rd or 4th model I open, it crashes back to the ipad Home Screen and I have to re-launch it.
I know it is not a problem with the STL files since I can immediately reopen the file that just crashed the app.
Giving it 3 stars since the app works, and works pretty well actually. I‘d love to give it 5, just feeling a little disappointed since it only started crashing after I paid.
Developer is responsive
I complained and downgraded my rating to 2 stars after I started seeing ads (even though i paid to not see them), and somehow without a response felt the developer the problem was resolved. I take it as they read my complaint and acted to fix it. For that I say thank you and I have upgraded my rating to the 5 stars rating you deserve. Super super solid app. Highly recommended to open stls
