Ratings and Reviews
Slow, rarely works correctly
I am an employee at Stew’s, I am a cashier. And this app can be such a pain to deal with. Half the time the app takes upwards of a minute to load when the customer is at check-out, which holds up the line and is annoying to the customer. I then have to explain that they can put their phone number in.
Also, the deals section of the app 99% of the time NEVER works. Every time someone shows me a coupon at checkout, I have to explain to them that the coupon does not actually give them a discount when I scan it, and I have to scan the rewards section for them to get the discount instead. I have to explain this to every customer who shows me the coupon, it never works.
That being said, it is still a great app that offers really great deals and rewards to customers. The other week I saw people get upwards of 40 dollars off of a whole lobster, or around 16 dollars off lobster tails.
Overall the app is great in concept and has great deals, but the functionality is just not there and needs to be fixed for the convenience of cashiers and customers alike.
Getting booted while trying to login
I use to love this app, but after today, I’m a bit peeved. I was already logged in until I went to look at the weekly ads. To my surprised I was automatically booted off the app, and a mini notice indicating my “credentials expired “. What?!?! Since when? I try to logged in and I was able to get in- no problem, but when I get half way reading the ad, I get booted off again. I even try deleting the app and then retrieve the app on my phone. Same problem. This is very annoying. The fact this app software has not been updated for a year is a bit disturbing and disappointing says a lot that Stew Leonard’s care about their customers while they shop at their stores, but care less about about their store app, that shoppers like myself love the app and make a list of what to purchase. If Stew Leonard’s ever update their apps regularly, it would be nice to add a shopping list to their app. So disappointed with this app, but will still shop at the store. So much for trying to gain points for free ice cream or coffee. Bummers.
Norwalk Burger Barn ordering is bad experience
This review reflects Burger barn ordering (Norwalk).
Specials, rewards, etc work fine for me. Issues: According to app the burger comes with pickles and sauce. I have never received either thru app (in 4 attempts)
Same when ordering in person, they ask if you want lettuce/tomato/onion - no mention of pickles or sauce. Seems employees dont know what sandwich comes with. Either train them correctly or update app to change base “smash burger” ingredients.
Add 10-15 minutes to your order time. This happened each time I ordered, and it was just 30 minutes after opening. Excuses varied from having to go inside to get burgers (you opened 30 mins ago??) to go inside to chop onions (why is this on the menu if you’re not prepared to serve it?).
Do NOT order a side of ketel chips. It’s a side option but I was told “nobody brought it out, you’ll have to go inside and get it yourself”. I had no idea where to go. Why is this on the menu?
Why does this ordering hub even exist? It’s supposed to be convenient and save time, but it’s a pain. They send me inside on a wild goose chase. Honestly, the app may be fine but the people running the burger stand are untrained and possibly not given time or resources to run it properly, because how hard is this?? Shame, because the burger is good and at a good price.
