At Starling, we are developing the world's first continuous at-home urine remote monitoring platform which seamlessly integrates into any users' daily bathroom routine. With just a quick scan of your urine, UrinDx (your index) uses light-based spectroscopy to track changes in the composition of your urine. With the daily insight from UrinDx, our connected predictive technology driving our digital health infrastructure, and our on demand clinical team at Starling, our platform enables the early detection of our patient’s chronic health issues.

Take urinary tract infections (UTIs), for example. Did you know that some UTIs are caused by bacteria that produce a molecule called nitrites? Well, UrinDx is able to measure changes in the absorption characteristics likely associated with nitrites as urine flows through the device. Starling then compiles changes in these absorption characteristics into a holistic score called the UrinDx Score. This score is indicative of changes in your urine, giving you a snapshot of your urinary health.
