Starbrew Cafe: Mystical Merge 4+

I’ve really been enjoying this game. The merges are satisfying and it’s really nice to pop in throughout the day. I really like the art style and the story is very well written. Interesting plot and very diverse characters. I’ve been consistently ahead of the updates in the story and noticed it’s been more difficult to progress due to higher and higher task goals, but this makes sense as I’m sure it takes a while to get writing done for the dialogue. I respect the writers are taking their time and not rushing! Looking forward to future updates 👍🏼

One suggestion I have for future updates would be to make it a bit easier to get around the map. It would be nice to have a max zoom out or map mode to see all the progress made without having to click and drag all around. Also, it would be nice to have the ability to go back through the story or be able to see a table of contents of some sort to be able to replay past story dialogue and see how far in the story I’ve gotten. Just my two cents!

off jump: If you come to download this game because of the ads including the lesbian pairing, they are in the game and clearly a romantic couple. no subtext overall: this is a fun game. I haven’t run into any major glitches. Although, I wish there was a way to re-center on the main character automatically. I’ve gotten quite far in the story and enjoy looking at all the areas Ive fixed and often lose the character. I’m currently at the Arcane Library and the story’s last update is quite behind in comparison (as of Jun 10, 2024). I’m looking forward to more updates 👍

update: Ive run into an issue. I find the promotions of in-app purchases pop up too frequently. I finally completed the Arcane Library and right when the game zoomed out to show the last improvement, 2 different pop-ups appeared and blocked the screen and then when the game jumped to the next area of improvement the pop-ups refused to get off the screen. Had to open and close the app to make them go away so I could continue playing.

I have fallen in love with this game, while I do agree the amount of times popups come up can be slightly annoying but that’s probably my biggest issue although there’s a couple of glitches occasionally but you can fix it by clearing out the app and reopening it.

I really love that you can progress in this game without needing too many gems and therefore having to spend real money. Of course the machine cool down/ energy refill times can be a little frustrating if I wanna play, but it’s easy to set it down while your working or going to bed then come back to it when everything's full and even so there’s plenty of opportunities to win gems or energy or ads you can watch for a little boost.

That’s another thing I love about this game is that you only really get ads when you want to refill something or get an item. They aren’t in your face like many games tend to be.

Overall this is the game that currently has me hooked and will have me hooked as updates continue to come out. The art style and characters are adorable, and the storyline as far as it’s come is pretty interesting but you also don’t need to read through it to play the game if that’s not your thing.

I love this game and if you like merge games, because it’s honestly the only one that’s held my attention past the first couple of stages.
