Description
SpeedQuizzing Virtual Buzzer turns your iphone, ipod touch or iPad into a SpeedQuizzing keypad and a quiz buzzer for use at SpeedQuizzing quiz/trivia events.
SpeedQuizzing is a quiz game played in teams, with friends, using phones and tablets, connected over a local Wi-Fi network. The game works great at pubs, bars, conferences, schools, colleges etc.
The most popular application of SpeedQuizzing is as a fresh approach to pub quizzing. Fast, fun and unlike traditional pen and paper quizzes, there is no time for cheats to search the internet for the answers.

Ratings and Reviews
Won’t work with WiFi “smart steering”
Love the app. However since the latest updates, you must disable smart steering (if configured) on the host’s WiFi router. Otherwise, although devices are on the same network, a mix between 2.4gh and 5gh host/clients will cause failures to connect to host.
So I have to make sure smart steering is off during trivia. Then turn back on when it is over.
Never used to be that way.
Ten Years of Greatness
I’ve been hosting trivia shows for nearly 15 years, starting with the traditional pen and paper method. Then, a friend introduced me to a company with a localized online platform, and I was hooked. This platform allowed me to produce shows more quickly, seamlessly integrate my pen and paper formats, and deliver a superior overall product.
After almost 3,000 shows over the past decade on this platform, I can’t imagine ever going back.
Almost Great
I’ve hosted with this app numerous times. Great that all the questions and pictures go right to the players phone and there is no need for other displays. Tech support is always available and helpful. My only gripe is that the sounds the teams pick are clearly knockoffs and not original audio clips. Hosted last night and folks had a great time.
