It’s perfect for communicating with locals, especially when I don’t speak the language. I purchased the $9.99 option just to see if I was going to be impressed with its features. I’m not. First you’re asked to purchase more credits to dub more videos and I wasn’t sure why since $9.99 is not inexpensive for a week of subscription. Secondly, I downloaded a video of a woman speaking clearly in a different language, when I uploaded the video into the app, it took a few minutes, and the result was a mute video no translation done, some music in the background out of nowhere, I emailed support. When I recorded myself and I uploaded the video, the translation was done, but it did not match the mouth moving as a matter of fact, it is absolutely not what you see in the ad. It just creates an overlay of a generated voice over a mute video. Now what you see in the ad, misleading

I downloaded this app, and before I signed I confirmed that there was a free trial available. So I signed up for their free trial, and it said I would be billed $9.99 if I didn’t cancel before the trial ended. I played around with it, and didn’t see the value in purchasing a subscription, so I canceled it right away (same day). And today, several days later, I’ve been charged $9.99. So beware!!

As for the app itself, as I said, I played around with it a little, and it was somewhat fun, but I saw no practical use for it, and definitely didn’t see value worth $9.99 per week. Perhaps others will see the value, but it’s not as real-time or fluid as their ads might lead you to believe. You can record something, it takes some time to translate and render, and then you can play it back in the language of your choice.
