Sonesta 4+

We stayed at the Sonesta Select in Huntington Beach and as soon as we got there James at the front desk went above and beyond for us, his customer service is unmatched. People nowadays don’t put in much effort and he actually cared about trying to make us as comfortable as he could.

Any future visits will definitely be here! Amazing hospitality!

I used the app where it showed multiple rooms available for the Mahway location. Upon arrival I was told the hotel was completely sold out. I asked if the front desk could call the other sonesta before driving there since I have a small child, she said no she couldn't. I called the reservation line from the app where they stated there were plenty of rooms available at Mahway and they could book one for me. I explained what I just experienced and so they put me on hold and called the hotel where they then said the hotel was completely sold out. I asked if anything could be done since I drove there with the app stating plenty of rooms. The closest sonesta would be 20 min away. They said nothing could be done. I called the help hotline and again I was told that they could file a complaint but that was it. I drove to the sonesta that was close by. They told me their rate was 167 the app was cheaper. There is a $300 deposit plus dog fee that also must be taken which is $75. Every person I have spoken with today was cold and not at all helpful. They lacked customer service and it was very different from my wonderful experience at the sonesta Parsippany-Troy- Morris plains. It's a real shame. I doubt I will be staying here anymore.

This app is broken and you can’t reach anyone to fix it. I am missing points for previous stays but the app won’t let me send in the request for the missing points with out selecting the hotel from a drop down box or something, make sense but the problem is that there is not drop down box. So I can’t even send in the request. I instead tried to submit a request for help by emailing cooperate but the same this happened. The funny thing is that it said the hotel selection was optional when I tried to email cooperate but it still turned red and stopped me from sending the email.
So through the app I can’t: contact customer support, contact cooperate for help, update email addresses or submit requests for missing points to be applied.
