SnapECG 4+

Got a snap ecg recorder for Christmas. It is easy to operate. Put fingers in the pads, click record, and you have a high quality ecg recording.

The app is the weak point. The software doesn’t tell you if it has paired with the device or not. It looks unpaired, but you hit the record button and it works.

You can save a .pdf version, which I am printing and taking to my cardiologist next week. At the top of the page is a field for patient name. But you can’t specify your name in the preferences. There are several links to click on, Store for example, that do nothing. Most of the links are just stubs that take you to a blank page.

As long as you don’t expect more than the most basic functionality, you can get by. The hardware deserves better. Software feels like a beta release.

Just got my SnapECG a week ago and downloaded the app to my iPad. I understand people concerned about why we need an account to use it, but not being a celebrity or politician I figure there isn’t much harm in the account.
I feel the app could be improved by things like showing connection status, allowing it to default to last selected monitor type, and more detail on the results, but at least for me it works.
If you have chest pain and can see your heart is OK; it really helps give piece of mind.

The software need improvements on changing measurements from metric. The personal information should be stored for reports. The app switches to a back ground page after about 15 seconds while trying to use it. It would be a 5-Star app if these could be corrected.
