Description
The Smart Espresso Profiler is an easy-to-use tool to record and improve your espresso extractions. It gives all compatible espresso machines capabilities, which were only seen in the most advanced, state-of-the-art devices. Imagine perfectly repeatable pressure- and flow profiling with a modified vintage lever machine, or a modern pump machine, with instant feedback. Now you can log even your Decent Espresso shots on machines equipped with the Group Head Control.

The Smart Espresso Profiler displays and records in real-time the pressure and flow of the coffee extraction, translating this information into pressure and flow graphs. It even informs you about the key indicators (brew ratio, flow rate, etc.) during the brewing process.

Save and share profiles and notes of your favorite extractions.
Set an earlier profile as a reference to follow.
IMPORTANT: The Smart Espresso Profiler needs a pressure sensor to work, available at https://www.naked-portafilter.com/smart-espresso-profiler/ For flow profiling, and brew weight data, an Acaia Pearl, Lunar, Cinco, Pyxis, a Skale Bluetooth, a Eureka Precisa or a Decent smart coffee scale is needed.

Could use some UI upgrade
This review is for the app only. I didn’t buy the hardware and uses this app with my Decent. It’s a great idea, but the UI is far from intuitive and could be confusing at times.
Love using the Smart Espresso Profiler with my Flair espresso machine!
I don’t usually do reviews, but I wanted to share my thoughts on this one.
I don’t have the hardware yet (but I think I will get one when the Flair 58 comes out), so I use it to understand the flow with my Acaia scale.
I looked at other apps, but this one just works,and it works consistently!
Im using it on my iPad mini 5, as I use my phone to be able to see the bottom of my portafilter.
One ask I have is that I would love for the app to start recording the shot when I start the timer on the scale, and then stop it when I hit stop on the scale.
I would also love a setting that enables the data from the last shot (bean, grinder setting) to pre-populate, as well as the ability to load grinder settings based on the bean selection.
I would also love to have the brew log available across devices and in a web portal!

Better than all the acaia apps
I am using the app on a non-lever espresso machine with an acaia lunar and honestly this app is the only reason I’m using any of the connected features of the lunar scale.
I like that I can overlay a previous shot profile which allows me to check how the adjustments I made to grind size or flow affect the shot.
I tried all the different apps that acaia put out over the years and this is honestly the best one.
