What’s New

Version 1.8.4

"The greater the obstacle, the more glory in overcoming it."
- Molière
This release fixes a pesky bug that suddenly popped up for Small Talk EXTRA subscribers.
While I wouldn’t exactly call overcoming this bug a 'glorious' feeling, as Molière suggests above, there's certainly a palpable sense of relief.

Just enough info each day

Enjoy my quick visit to smalltalk each morning. An inspiring quote, a historical fact, a piece of advice, a quick fact,a new word each day and a joke. Takes minutes to read. There is a way to save those quotes or facts that you like.
I like that it has a beginning and end each day. I don’t get lost in it like other apps (Instagram)and can count on quality content each day.

Okay but could be better

I love your app, especially the great UI! Here’s what’s missing for me to really enjoy it:
- When I try to share a quote, I only want to be able to do it via text. You can do that right now but it is confusing to get to. Then when I click to share it pulls up an advertisement for your app. Of course I don’t want to share three paragraphs about the app. It also doesn’t include the actual quote I was on and wanted to share. This is a big flaw. I wanted to share one of the things that I found but couldn’t because of that! I ended up highlighting the text and copying it myself.
- I tried to give you this feedback within the app so I wouldn’t have to give you a poor review, but I couldn’t find anywhere to do that so I ended up here.

Generalized, inaccurate facts

I like the concept of this app, but I’ve frequently decided to check the source on some facts that surprise me to find that the fact in the app is either not true or only partially true. The facts shown in the app tend to make generalized conclusions from the source that may not always be completely correct. Or, sometimes the fact is just plain wrong. Seems like a small team picking out things they find interesting and sending them to the app, regardless of how closely the statement is accurately reflecting the source. Love the concept, just don’t feel like I can trust it.

Developer Response ,

Thank you for the kind words and valuable feedback.

We take the time to verify all the facts we post on small talk and take pride in our status as an island amidst a veritable ocean of clickbait headlines and fake news. It’s quite alarming to hear that you’ve found some gaps in the process.

Could you please contact us with more information about the facts in question? We’ll amend them retrospectively and take steps to ensure this never happens again. I'll send over a reward in exchange.
