Just What I Needed!
My mom takes insulin shots and told me that since I’m taking semaglutide with insulin needles, that I should use a calendar, write down any symptoms and side effects, and write down my injection site rotation. Wouldn’t you know it, there’s an app for that! This app does all of it! I’m able to track my weight, side effects, injection site rotations, and (my favorite part because I’m a science person), it shows you an estimate of how much of the medication is remaining in your system throughout the week. It even gives you a countdown until your next shot and gives you encouraging words once you’ve completed one! I purchased the yearly premium, because I wanted all of the tracking and didn’t find it to be too pricey. Highly recommend!
Great for tracking, might pay for subscription ...
I found out about this app from a Wegovy reddit post. It's pretty straightforward and is great for tracking my medication and my weight loss progress. I was able to enter all of my previous data (I'm 10 weeks into treatment) so I can see the change over time. It's excellent for times when I feel discouraged about my progress: I'm reminded I am losing at my own pace. There are only a couple of extra features available by subscription, and the free content is so awesome I'm likely going to subscribe for the data. If you're unsure, give the app a try and I bet you won't be disappointed by the available features. 5 out of 5 would recommend.
Great app, I highly recommend it!
I love this app! I have the paid version and think it’s well worth it. I like seeing the estimated levels of medicine in my system. I use the notes feature on shot day to record more details of the location of the shot (I’m currently only alternating between thighs, so wanted a record of the exact injection site. I also use the daily notes feature to add detail of any side effects I’m feeling (mine have been very minimal, but it’s nice to have a record in case something I’ve eaten causes the same effect later on).
It’s nice to see the weight loss displayed as a graph line and also shows the total loss from the beginning PLUS the loss for each shot along with the average calories and protein grams for that week. That is really helpful for me so that I can tweak my diet if need be.
I made a suggestion for a possible future enhancement and the developer responded right away, stating it would be added to the list for the team to consider. To me, that shows they really care about making this app the best.
I’ve only been at this a month and I think this app has helped me immensely.
