Description
Fast paced run and gun sci-fi action!
In the near future, the scientists of Earth have ripped open a portal to another dimension after a high-energy physics experiment has gone horribly wrong. Grotesque monsters from another world have poured into our realm, and all of humankind has fled the planet in fear, unable to fend off the invaders. Enter Shockbot, humanity's last hope for reclaiming their home world. Shockbot is armed with a high precision blaster capable of vaporizing menacing invaders, as well as a devastating Shock Attack to wipe the area clear of foes. Orchestrating the invasion is Ultramech, a powerful hybrid mechanical beast of imposing size, armed with a terrifying laser cannon. Shockbot must destroy Ultramech to put a halt to Earth's invasion, trekking from the insertion point in Horizon City, through monster-infested forests, foreboding caves, an industrial wasteland, to a dreamy cyberpunk skyline.
This run-and-gun platformer is reminiscent of classic 16-bit shooters and includes a half a dozen varied and exciting stages, fast-paced action, a cool Shock Attack mechanic to wipe all the enemies off screen, antigravity platforming challenges, and an epic boss battle at the end, all with a pulsing drum and bass soundtrack.

Ratings and Reviews
Good stuff
This game’s been a lot of fun to play and it’s kept me busy for hours. It had a nostalgic 90s vibe and a cool level select option after you best the game.
Game needs work, here’s some ways to improve game.
1.)Controls WASD on left is too clunky/ hard to transition movement response, because of the gap in between the move keys.
2.)Screen zoom is too close, tunnel vision does not help player see distant enemies that attack player beyond the line of sight. Please zoom out the screen 2-3x or have adjustable in options,
the close sighted screen makes enemies pop out very fast with no warning, it’s like crossing the road, with your eyes forced staring at the floor, and getting hit by a car ten feet away.
3.) Poorly implemented gameplay, needs a safe house or bomb shelter for research level up upgrades or recuperate.
4.) Needs to be able to jump on top of enemies to kill them/hurt them/ and NOT hurt YOURSELF-like in Mario classic Nintendo. This will enable players a melee combat dynamic gameplay!!
5.) Game is too hard, needs store page in main menu, for developer to make some $$$, like a base armory to buy power-armor, mech-suit upgrades or assault weapons variations, slow heal regen nano-bots or triage repair kits. UAV drone/ momo kawaii companions or a hot girl companion that shadows player movements and attacks. Could have options to choose soldier or marine companions.
6.) also have the maps contain % chance store items in secret locations for grinding free to play thresholds. Not being able to progress stagnates game story flow.
Has potential but could be better
Reminds me a lot of Metroid, (no doubt the inspiration for this game) however my main gripe that made me dislike it was the controls and movement speed. I often found the platforming to be very difficult, either I’d undershot the jump, or I’d flat out not move because I wasn’t jumping at all. The movement speed also really makes it hard to focus and and kill an enemy, plus go from one platform to another. I found myself running into targets or not being able to jump properly, frankly I felt like my own worst enemy.
