Fun Rummy game with Great App Support
Can play online with others, or offline. Safe way to play cards with others without physical contact! I have been playing this game for a few years now, having been introduced to it in Italy. It is a fun rummy game that uses two card decks and wild cards. I play on a tablet and a smart phone. The developer takes great pride in his product, the Scala 40 App, shown by attention to detail in ever improving the user experience. If only all developers were this dedicated.
Scala 40 ROCKS
I have enjoyed Scala 40 for quite sometime now. Playing Scala 40 is challenging and fun. I only wish there was more of a community to play Scala 40 online live games. Being able to play against live competition more would make this game even more exciting. Maybe add some more fun options like different decks, and in game options (being able to pull from the discard pile if there's only one card on that pile), and having a resonate profile with names and emojis/pictures. Other than that great game ✌🏾️

There are many Italian players, while few in America, you’ll find more online players from 18:30 to 23:00 Italian time (CET)
There are some options to configure the game, a few related to the deck aspect and many others related to game rules, including the discard pile one you are requesting. Your player name (nickname) can be modified in the Game Center configuration which is accessibile from the Settings app.

Why am I suddenly getting ads?
I purchased this app for my iPad a couple of years ago so I wouldn’t have to see ads. Now, since the app has been updated, I’m seeing an ad at the bottom of the page. I have the option to buy an ad free version, but I’ve already done that. I’ve tried the Restore Purchase option, but am still getting ads. I’m not happy!

The version you were previously using was the iPad only one, this was dismissed a couple of years ago. Now you are using the Universal one compatible with iPad and iPhone, it is a totally different version requiring a separate purchase to turn off ads.
