Sacramento's K-ZAP 4+

K-ZAP was the rock and roll radio station I exclusively listened to all of my young years. Now it is back!!! My radio is dialed in 23/7 in my home now. The playlist is extensive and well thought out. Curbs my desire for the great music. My heart beats for this.
Not only are they playing the classics and some that I have not heard for years, they are offering some tasty treats from Alabama Shakers, Joe Bonamassa, NIN, Chris Cornell, Beth Hart and so many beloved current songs. Plus K-ZAP has opened my ears up and exposed me to some new music that is so good, ie. EOB.
Best things about this radio station is that they do not offer the overplayed and worn out playlist that the other radio stations offer, minimal DJs talking, and no commercials!!!
The app is great and it helps me to know song titles and artists.
Plus, I was able to donate and support this radio station with the app too.

This app has really only one function that it is good at - being able to listen to K-ZAP radio in Sacramento, CA. The DJ and the music is outstanding - they are not an ordinary classic rock station - they play music from 1965 to 2015 and the cuts from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s are ones besides just the top hits - and they throw in the occasional blues song and other formats that are fit with AOR music. My beef with the app is it does't do much else - it doesn't show the stations top tunes, recent playlist, the ability to vote on songs, discuss music - check out the app for Radio Paradise for what a real radio app can be. That being said - I do listen and really enjoy the great music and DJs of KZAP - hopefully they will get an app that's as good as the station someday

What radio station has lasted and still going strong after all this time, all these years. I have Sirius XM All Access or satellite radio, I find a station I enjoy but somehow it goes away by contract or whatever but I always come home to K-ZAP. Like Mr Jackson Browne said downhill from everything except you guys.
You are the best the all-time best from when I first started listening to K-ZAP in the 70s, non stop great listening all genres then. Now I may change it from some newer stuff, they try and I try but no Maytag I’ll keep coming back. Keep on zap and rocking ~ thank you
