Roam: Your Virtual Office 4+

Best product for synchronous collaboration going. Roam is flat out better than every company productivity app on the planet and yet it’s so much more. If you are a Founder, lean in here.

Works well for primary function. One small annoyance is if you let notifications get out of hand - I had 86 “unread” notifications which were mostly just meetings that had been scheduled. There is no obvious way to “mark all as read” so I had to manually click all 86 to clear them. Even after doing that it shows 1 unread on the badge but no actual unread message.

The desktop app works pretty well, but the mobile version feels like an after thought. The app regularly freezes and has to be closed and re-opened to work again. About 50% of messages sent from my phone show up as not delivered or “pending” and never send. Messages will say they sent but when I log onto my desktop it’s clear that they haven’t.
