Description

The 'Reaction Go/No-Go' Test (Go/No-Go paradigm) is a method for assessing an individual's ability to respond to specific stimuli while inhibiting responses to others. This technique evaluates cognitive control functions, particularly the ability to regulate behavior according to the current task.
During the execution of differentiated Go/No-Go reactions, time is allocated not only to signal transformation in receptors and their neural transmission but also to signal analysis and decision-making regarding the necessity of a motor response.
-------
Test Description
Participants must react to a 'blue circle' that extends beyond the boundaries of a 'white circle'. The faster the participant responds after the blue circle crosses the white boundary, the better their reaction ability is considered. The task is performed with both the left and right hands, allowing the test to assess not only visual signal discrimination but also hand-specific movement control. At the end of the test, results undergo a normality check using the Shapiro-Wilk test. If the data deviates from a normal distribution, the program analyzes the dataset, removes the most extreme outlier, and adds an additional trial.
The program settings allow users to select the number of attempts, ranging from 10 to 40, depending on the participant's age and professional activity. After completing the test, the program presents key indicators characterizing the participant's performance.
-------
Test Modes
The test can be conducted in two modes: 'Random Start' (default): Visual signals appear randomly on the left, right, or both sides; 'Synchronous Start': Visual signals appear simultaneously on both sides.
The time interval between signals can be adjusted: 2–4 s (default); 2–3 s (fewer false signals); 1–3 s (shorter intervals between signals); 1–4 s (shorter intervals, more false signals).
-------
Model Generation & Data Management
Performance models can be generated based on test results:
1. Go to the 'Data' section.
2. Click 'Choose', select the desired measurements, then click 'Model'.
3. On the next screen, review the key characteristics.
4. If the characteristics are satisfactory, click 'Create Model'.
-------
Created models are accessible in the 'Settings' under 'Models based on measurements'. To compare results with a model:
1. Go to 'Data' and select a measurement.
2. Click 'Summary', then choose 'Assessment'.
Predefined models based on highly qualified martial artists are available for both test modes.
-------
Additionally, in 'Settings', users can:
- 'Save a backup' (export measurements as a JSON file).
- 'Add measurements' from another device.
- 'Replace existing measurements' with a backup.
- 'Delete all data'.
-------
Target Audience
This application is a valuable tool for athletes, coaches, and researchers in specialized institutions conducting scientific studies.
