R.care has truly transformed my life, no question about it. I had been stuck in a cycle of binge eating for years—alternating between starving myself to lose weight and then gaining 20-30 pounds from binging. My entire relationship with food has shifted; I now feel satisfied without the self-hatred. What's more, I've developed a genuine love for my body, not because I've shed pounds but because I'm treating myself better. I've tried countless diets and weight loss programs, but R.care is different. It's not about weight but more about understanding what is blocking me to have a health & sustainable relationship with food and helping me work on it. While the lessons may sometimes seem obvious, they serve as vital reminders of my goals. My wish? They urgently need to add a save feature for the lesson. There's so much valuable content in the lessons—writing about bad habits and long-term goals—but none of it gets saved. It's frustrating that such a basic feature isn't available.

I clicked the ad that said Duolingo for binge eating

I had such a strong drive to recover from binge eating, but I couldn’t figure out how to channel it. The damage of binge eating has been enormous, both physically and mentally. Then I found this app. It’s exactly the learning path I needed, guiding me step by step. Each day, I take a small step forward, learning about my habits and how to make better choices. I feel a sense of accomplishment as I gather new insights on what to do next. Every now and then, the app gives me an ‘aha’ moment that pushes me forward.

Best binge-eating recovery app

This app has been incredibly supportive to my recovery — it has allowed me to keep myself accountable and maintain motivation and momentum. I tried therapy (CBT) in the past, and found it far less helpful than the self-guided resources that R.Care provides. The subscription is definitely a bit pricey, but this far has been very worth it. Also, the developers are incredibly receptive to feedback. They have taken my suggestions into account on numerous occasions, and have even allowed me to preview mockups of new features.
