Resetting and lose progress
This game has nice graphics, but is setup to reset the game and force to rebuild everything again as you “conquer” a new planet. There is little about the different characters you get and how to equip them to be a valid fighting force. You randomly get new characters, vehicles and support equipment. Meaning you don’t have fair competition against other forces. You’re also handicapped in advancing by limited opportunity to battle against aliens in planet.
I’m sure there are some that like this game, but I like strategic and progressive games that actually allows one to excel through craft instead of play for a month and reset to see to re-accomplish the same that was done last month with different graphics.
Russian Scam to hunt Americans for trophies
This game needs to be renamed to “Farming Behemoth while being hunted and bullied by Russian Trolls.” This game promised “you will command alien civilizations, conquer uncharted planets, and build Hero fleets.” I bought many in-app game products to speed up leveling unaware that the game has already limit new players to farming behemoth only. As soon as I joined an alliance and start to “conquer uncharted planets, and build Hero fleets”, Two of the largest Russian alliance with 10x high power players started to target me and my team. I am a American. I was targeted. This is a game dominated by Russian players. If are a masochist and you want to pay US dollars to be hunted and insulted in Russian, this is the game for you. We negotiated and honored a truce. They still hunted americans for trophies. The leader of DCC Delta Corp Xyrma has stated “молодец. только они тебе не помогут. потому что это не запрещено правилами игры (loosely translated- The game moderator will allow them to continue to bully us because it is not against the rule)”. I have requested g a full refund of my in-app purchases. Xyrma has stated that he wants this review. He, his secretary and his alliance will be famous in Russia for kicking American losers.
Great so far, keep it up
I played Rise of Kingdoms for a bit. When I opened this game, it felt like basically space RoK. After a few hours of gameplay and joining a good clan, I can gladly say that it’s better enough than RoK to keep me interested. It’s the most fun in an alliance, inter-alliance lore gets a lot more interesting than the in game lore, so join an alliance to grow and have fun. Also, combat on the big open-world map with all the bases around is still fun, and the MMO-style base locator gives the game a great sense of scale.
TLDR - gameplay kinda similar to rise of kingdoms but imo better
So far, no paywall. If I hit a paywall, I’m taking 4 stars off this review and uninstalling. Hope I don’t hit one, it’s a fun game.
