Previous User Interface Was Better

Although the look of the new user interface does look more modern, I prefer optimal functionality over looks. In the past, mobile checks would become visible in transaction histories the moment they were approved, (now they only show up after a period of delay which can take as long as the following business day). This is not only inconvenient, but it also prevents the accumulation of interest the day of deposit on some occasions. The same idea applies to ACH pull transactions - those used to post immediately if scheduled for the same day and would start earning interest immediately. These ACH pulls are now even more delayed than mobile check deposits and in the past couple of days ACH pushes have started being delayed, too, (they used to always be in the external account the next business day - that isn’t always the case now). All that being said, I will remain a Primis customer as the rates and the incoming and outgoing wire policies cannot be beaten. However, I would really appreciate checks and ACH transactions being processed in real-time, just like they were in the past.

Pretty lacking, but improved

New interface is pretty generic, looks like they slapped a basic bank template together and added a logo and color (looks like some of my other small banks). Accounts page forces a weekly spending widget that I can’t get rid of. I like the spending overview but why the awkward quarter grid box? Can’t ungroup the accounts, they are forced into a useless group.

The best update is the new funds transfer interface which is a lot better than before. The new alerts feature is nice though it only allows for texts/emails not push notifications.

It looks like APY is now displayed again on the accounts so we can stop complaining about that!

The font on the transactions pages are wayy too big + large gaps at top of list and inefficient use of space so only 6 or 7 can be viewed at a time. Whenever I swipe out of the app the whole thing reloads and resets back to the home page which is really annoying. And why use a menu tab just for contacting?

It does seem faster currently might just be due to everyone being locked out right now.

Need to add Interest Rate Back

The transparency in the rate as well as the total interest earned per account was the main reason we liked Primis. Now I’m not so sure, given they are switching to a new app with a lot less transparency. All of us are using this bank because we love the interest we get on checking accounts, why would you get rid of such key reporting features? If this isn’t resolved ASAP, we are going somewhere else.
