PrestoPhoto 4+

We have used the Apple Photo PrestoPhoto plug-in to make several books. The interface is modern and intuitive. We have used several other venders who offer Apple Photo plug-ins and give PrestoPhoto's plug-in high marks. Like any tool, it has it quirks but overall it work well. The number of book styles they offer is also impressive. In the past, the acutal printed colors have been a bit over saturated but we have found this to be true with other venders too.

We had a technical issue while making the latest book (a hardware issue I think) and their tech support staff spent many hours working with us to recover most of the book design. They were a great help. FYI--I discovered that the iCloud does not backup Photo projects when you store you library on the iCloud. TimeMachine is your only backup option.

Template Modern Lines
1. text edit, did not alleign well under photos, and the box would not extend on photos on the bottom of page. I had to crop photo boxes. Text box was no where near the boundary cropping line. Also when double clicking to write text box would grey out and I could NOT type in box, NOR could the box be deleted to repeat the process. Also Font size option does not always come up.
2. Edit Layout: changing size of photos; no guidelines appear to aleign with other photos, eyball it is not accurate!
3 Starting Book options should be more spefic once Templat is chosen for Modern Lines there should also be a option to change background to white. You havde one but one has to "search for it" luckily I was doing 3 books so on the 3rd book it was familiar....MANY PEOPLE ARE ONLY MAKING ONE BOOK.
4. Photos do not load quickly when switching from Template options back to Images. Big frustration was, I oraginize photos by Event which is NOT necessarily by DATE and all my organization was down the drain when loaded on the book. It is very time consuming to scroll through all the photos to get specific events together. IE : Spending 3 days in a city..all city photos should be together.
5. Unsure if its better to start creating book thourht PHOTOS or going on line to Presto Ap???

I have used Presto Printing for 6 photo albums now and could not be happier. I am a former Apple iPhotos user and when Apple discontinued their photo printing service, I was scrambling to find a company that allowed me to use the same type of format that I used before.

Presto Printing is actually better than Apple because I can change the templates to allow for my own design and amount of photos on a page. Sometimes I really need a page with an odd number of photos, and the Presto App, as an extension of my Apple Photos App on my computer, allows me to customize my pages when I want. They have tons of templates and I can pick the ones I want or edit one they have. It’s just a really great option. I am starting a vacation album today and can’t wait to get it back and relive our fun adventures.
