Description

Praxis is a mini browser with built-in blockers for scripts, trackers, cookies, and more.

Use it to bypass content restrictions on the web, suppress annoying banners, and load web pages blazingly fast.

Praxis is a great companion app to your regular mobile browser. It strips web pages to their bare essentials and disables all interactive features, allowing you to get straight to the content and read it without distractions. Quickly view any URL in Praxis from another app, like Safari, by using the system Share menu.

Praxis complements your main mobile browser; it doesn’t replace it. You can use it to read select websites that work best with scripts and cookies disabled. Try it on your favorite news or recipe websites today.

This browser blocks JavaScript and other web technology known to be abused by website makers. By using it, you can remain invisible to advertisers, evade fingerprinting, and block all trackers. You can also use Praxis as a dedicated “incognito mode” browser for when you require extra privacy protection on the web.

Other features of Praxis you will enjoy:

* A Quiet Filter that can enable ‘dark mode’ on any website
* A bookmark manager with support for folders, to help you organize your web research
* Automatic iCloud sync, so you can access your bookmarks and browsing history across all your devices
* A fully resizable floating window experience on iPads with support for Stage Manager

Let’s fight together against the broken web.

Share and enjoy.

Nifty little app

It’s my favorite way to read articles online! The design is clean and straightforward. Quiet mode is a nice touch.

Doesn’t work consistently, but it does work a lot.

Having trouble with WSJ and MSN which is frustrating. Overall it works on many sites.

News media used to provide us with news coverage at the fair and reasonable price of having advertising put in front of our eyes and ears.

Then the media got greedy. Now we are supposed to pay significant sums of money to dozens and even scores (that’s twenties in case your forgot) of subscriptions AND also get advertising to get the news.

This happened in the 80’s with software. MS charged $399 for Word and $399 for excel and so on. So businesses mostly paid and people pirated it. Then office finally settled on $99 and most people paid for it. It was a fair price and affordable and most of us would like to be ethical.

The same is true of online news. Right now they are charging $399 per product. And people want a way to pirate the news. When they come up with fair and reasonable pricing I think most people will go legit.

But for now apps like Praxus will prevail.
