Description
Potion Notions is a simple App that lets you learn about the ingredients listed on the back of a skin care or cosmetic product. To use Potion Notions, simply photograph the text on the back of a product's packaging, being sure to include the section listing its ingredients. The App will then apply machine learning to the list of ingredients, and provide some analysis for each.
Note regarding Subscription pricing:
While you can download this App for free, when you download and then open this App, you will be prompted to agree to a Subscription ahead of being able to use the App. In other words, you will not be able to use the App at all without first agreeing to a subscription option.
Caveat/Disclaimer regarding information provided by the App:
All information provided should be used only as your personal starting point for assessing the ingredients in a product as photographed from its packaging:
- The information shared by this App is produced by a machine learning model, and can be incorrect or incomplete.
- The analysis also can be critical of an ingredient without knowing anything about its quantity in a specific product.
- And not all ingredients in the list that you photographed may in fact be addressed here; your photo might not have captured all items legibly, or the product might list its ingredients separately in different places on its packaging, and you may have photographed only one section, etc.
