Description

Pip School by Sprout Labs is a gamified intervention program for children ages 4-9 years old that offers explicit instruction to children who are early in their reading journey, at risk for dyslexia, or finding challenges while learning to read.

The app is a part of a greater program, which starts with a human touch – a literacy specialist who administers the award-winning literacy assessment and continues ongoing one-on-one support through the program. This reading program is more than a game – It’s your family’s personalized reading coach.
Once you start the game, our science-based exercises build foundational reading skills such as phonological awareness, phonemic awareness, vocabulary, and language comprehension. Pip School will ensure your child stays on the right path to reading success.

During the game your child joins Pip, their toucan friend from the EarlyBird Assessment, at a cultural fair. They unlock rewards and prizes as they build their skills and visit new animal friends.

Your subscription includes:
- Your reading coach! an expert Literacy Specialist from the EarlyBird Team
- The award-winning EarlyBird Assessment for free
- Progress reports sent straight to your inbox
- Access to our parent resources

Great for early readers

I know this is a reading intervention app, but it has been great for my young niece as well (5 years old). I can tell how it helps with her processing as she begins her reading journey. She also loves Pip and all the animal friends— especially the Elephant!

My kid loves Pip!

This app is so fun for my kid she always asks to play with Pip. I’ve gotten amazing help from the early bird experts and she went from hating to read to being proud of herself for learning with Pip.

Very frustrating

Just tried the first activity and in less than 5 minutes my kid was frustrated. Even though he seemed to be doing the activity correctly it just kept saying nice try and having him do it over and over again. He’ll never use this if it won’t work. Now I’m out $200 for a wasted effort.
