Description

PIANOTEQ: THE ULTIMATE VIRTUAL INSTRUMENT

Pianoteq is an award-winning virtual instrument that simulates a wide range of instruments including pianos, electric pianos, harpsichords, vibraphones, guitars, steel drums, and more, using advanced physical modeling. Unlike traditional virtual instruments that use recorded sounds, Pianoteq generates sounds in real-time by calculating the physics of how strings vibrate and how the soundboard radiates sound.

Why Pianoteq Stands Out:

- Realistic Playability: By modeling the physical properties of instruments, Pianoteq replicates the playability and complex behavior of real acoustic instruments.
- Compact Size: Without large samples, Pianoteq's file size is much smaller than other virtual instruments, making it ideal for your iOS device.

Trusted by the Best:

Steinway, KAWAI, Bösendorfer, C. Bechstein, Petrof, Steingraeber, Grotrian, Blüthner, and Hohner have all endorsed Pianoteq for its faithful sound reproduction.

Getting Started:

- Connect a MIDI device to your iPad/iPhone.
- Launch Pianoteq.
- Start playing!

Pianoteq also works as a plugin in any Audio Unit host application, such as GarageBand, AUM, Cubasis, Camelot, and more.

Note: All instruments run in demo mode (with some keys disabled) until you purchase a Pianoteq STAGE license (unlocks two instruments) or link to an existing Pianoteq user account with a valid license. Licenses purchased on the App Store are valid across other supported platforms (macOS, Windows, Linux).

What’s New

Version 8.4.0

- New grand piano: Grand Shigeru Kawai SK-EX.
- New microphones added: a perfect-cardioid microphone, and the legendary M49 tube microphone.
- Added copy/paste functionality in the note-edit menu for iOS users.
- Minor corrections to the Bösendorfer (C#4, E2).
- The app now creates a virtual MIDI input, allowing it to receive MIDI events from other iOS sequencers without using the AUv3 plugin.

Beautiful piano and guitar ; amazing deal since it’s desktop and takes no space

Modartt offered a seriously generous demo option for people, more generous than other demo’s and allowing to really get a feel and pick the instruments you know you’ll love if you get to the point of making a purchase. To me i would rather spend more and have that option than keep buying 20 and 30 dollar synths that I can’t play first , some of which will just sit unplayed. Not to mention some of those need to be bought twice to use on desktop or aren’t universal. This is amazing on iPhone and iPad and I don’t even have a desktop yet where I can use it but will be excited for when I do. I played with the demo since it came out then purchased stage at start of august. I’ve been playing piano for 35 years , and also play guitar more casually however love classical guitar sounds so this is the most amazing thing for me. I’m mentioning the demo because it is really inconsiderate for people to come on here and give a low rating simply because they are annoyed at the cost. It’s not a normal iOS app you have to understand, and it also has so many capabilities within the app and the instruments you pick that it is like many many many instruments in one so it honestly does end up being a good price for IOS , just not a cheap app. I for one couldn’t justify making the purchase until now and was just grateful to have such a nice demo. Thanks Modartt for bringing real piano playing to iOS .

High playability!

I still need to purchase the app pianos but the sound and feel of this is awesome. I really think modeling is the way to go on iOS apps. I recently spent a lot of cash on getting PC and other iOS apps so it’s a little steep right now for me but definitely worth the the price. I will invest more in this app later as it pretty much takes care of all my auv3 needs for a piano sound. I also like the multi platform payment model. Pay once and available for iPad and Mac. They app seems very stable also and I have not seen any crashes that I remember. Kinda glad I held off on some of the other piano apps. The hype about pianoteq seems to be true. 😃

Nothing like it!

This is by far the most expressive and playable piano library I’ve used. They’ve nailed physical modeling, and it works flawlessly in this new iOS port. It plays like a real piano, responds exactly as I’d expect, and the tweakability is in a league of its own. It responds immediately to patch switches and adjustments with zero load time, since there are no samples. Voicings sound better than ever in v8, and it now stands up there with some of my favorite sample libraries, without the massive footprint. Great customer service, love the licensing model, -and the tech is at the top of its class! You have to play it to appreciate it.
