A new way to navigate
Petal Maps lets you explore the world around you in new ways. Available in over 160 countries and regions, it not only lets you get your current location, browse the map, search for places, but also displays real-time traffic conditions, events, and loads more.
[Map browsing]
Support real-time traffic display, 2D/3D view browsing, and interactive operations such as zooming, moving, tilting, and rotating.
[Map searching]
With a huge database of POIs, finding places is easier than ever – simply search for keywords to find places on the map. You can also touch the category icons under the search bar to find recommended places nearby.
[Navigation]
Real-time traffic data helps you choose a faster route and avoid traffic jams. The app quickly re-plans your route and re-estimates the arrival time whenever you stray from the recommended route.

a great secondary map app
Believe it or not, despite all the fear-mongering, Huawei has a better privacy track record than Google.
On my iPhone, I prefer to use Apple Maps but quite often, i get more alternative routes with less traffic than Apple maps on Petal maps. The UI and live traffic is not as good as Apple maps in California but I really enjoy getting routes that Apple just doesn’t give me. It’s sad but I find i need to use both depending on the situation.
Disappointingly useful!
Hope to see the disappointing experience improve one day soon. Currently fails to function correctly in its home country of origin. This is May 2024, where Amap, Baidu map, even Google Map* and Apple map do a relatively great job providing service coverage within China. Launching another map App to compete must meet the current experience of the mainstream, in the least, else why is it even here?
*Where accessible, needs an external network connection to function.
