Description
Are you ready to Stash some Trash? In this app from PEEP and the Big Wide World, which features the loveable and plucky robin, Chirp, one bird’s trash is another Raccoon’s treasure. Since Chirp is in a “sorting mood,” kids get to help Chirp make order of her world starting with Raccoon’s junk.
In this Trash Stash app, kids practice their categorization skills by sorting objects using increasingly sophisticated criteria. The game begins simply with sets of colors but as kids are successful, it gets trickier with more complex sets like Things You Can Eat and Metal Things.
Players might notice that objects can fall into more than one set. A red apple might be in the Red Things, Things You Can Eat, and Things That Grew sets. Older kids may also get a kick out of trying to guess what the set will be before it's announced. They can do so by watching the items as Raccoon hurls them from his hideaway.
The PEEP and the Big Wide World Trash Stash app from WGBH was produced by WGBH, the producers of PEEP and the Big Wide World, with additional development work by CloudKid. The animated series PEEP and the Big Wide World gives wings to the innovative idea of teaching science to preschoolers. Wry and distinctive visual humor, charming plotlines, and lovable characters combine with a comprehensive science curriculum to attract and engage kids three to five years old.

Ratings and Reviews
Great categorization app
I'm very impressed with this app. I plan to use it in speech therapy. Simple, fun.
This may be the best of the Peep games.
It's about sorting. The raccoon tosses his trash that he collects out of his tree and you have have to tap on the items specified by the narrator. My four-year-old loves it. He giggles every time Raccoon throws stuff out of his tree. I can't believe these games are free. They're so cute and actually educational. If you have a three-to-four year old typically-developing child, I think he or she will like it.
My son loved this game. Too bad it’s broken.
My son loved this game. Like it was his go to game when we took a long car ride. Now it’s mostly unplayable for a child as the audio doesn’t work. Sad.
