Incredibly helpful, not very intuitive

I use this program so I can listen to pdf versions of my school books. It saves so much time I wouldn’t be able to do as well without it. It’s handy being able to wash dishes out mow the lawn while basically going thorough college. However it reads tables down which makes the information nearly indecipherable and it mispronounces many simple words so I have to use context a little more to understand what the program is speaking. I’ll keep using it because I need it but it could definitely use an upgrade.
Thanks for a great product!

Perfectly reads PDFs to me

When I realized I could save some time having my phone read PDF files I needed to review weekly to me (they are unreadable because the screen is too small), I searched and found this program immediately. All I can say is, it’s nearly perfect: full control over voice and speed, it highlights the word as it reads it, making it easy to follow along, and doesn’t halt for no reason like the built in iPhone reading functionality does.

Two improves might be, a) to allow me to read websites or sources not stored locally or in iCloud/Dropbox, and b) try to improve the pauses. The iOS voice reading system is kind of dumb, thinking that the period in 3.14 is a period in a sentence and requires a pause, and line feeds (which signify a new section in the text) should certainly get a pause as they are not part of the sentence in the line above.

But very good work. Best of all it’s a one-time purchase, not an ongoing subscription.

For a free version it’s great

A few points that I don’t like in it:
- Doesn’t allow to use waze at the same time, even with waze’s voice command turned off.
- you can’t point in the page where to read. It also doesn’t show in which part of the page it is.
- It has a few mistakes. For exemple, it reads “we’re” like “W E re”.
