PAS CONNECT 4+

PAS a streaming started about 8 years ago, when my husband got sick and couldn’t attend services in person for RH and YK…he ended up streaming from another synagogue, and when we mentioned it to our cantor, u can see on his face the change and the realization of the potential good coming from streaming synagogue services… I understand that this realization was followed by long debates about the Halachic and other aspects of this process, but then it happened… My husband recovered, and u attend services in person, but streaming stayed and we were able to take PAS with us wherever we go… I listened to PAS services from the beaches of Punta Cana, to my daughter’s and granddaughter apartment in London…and share it with friends, all over the world, including Israel , where my friends are owe struck… Having the streaming during the pandemic, was a God sent…Having the ability to pray schahrit , and Mincha/MAariv daily, gave me a structure (Keva) we all needed, and an opportunity to communicate with god and people… Having the PAS connect app, is a natural , and very welcome addition! It works really well, it’s easy to listen to it ( and yes u can text and email at the same time…) and it’s easy to forward the link to friends… kudos PAS!

I started watching zoom programs from Park Avenue synagogue during the pandemic in 2020. Since then I have been educated, enthralled and inspired from every program and service I have seen. Rabbi Cosgrove inspires all with his sermons( brilliant and with humor as well) and beautiful services. The special people he has interviewed have been a constant learning experience for me. Cantor Schwartz has a voice from heaven, and I can listen to him all night. Last winter in Florida I was fortunate enough to see Cantor Schwartz in a concert at a temple in Boca Raton.
This spring when I return to New York, I am going to finally come in person to the Park Avenue synagogue and be a part of your Friday night service.

I started going to PAS Zoom minyan when I was mourning my dad. When I went on for my first Friday evening service I was mesmerized by the voices of the cantors and the speeches by the rabbis. When I need some inspiration and cheering up or just to feel the power of prayer and my religion, I turn to the PAS app where I can enjoy all of the beautiful music and inspiring speeches. It’s also very easy to get on the livestream from the app rather than through the website. I also love the subtitles that translate the songs because I’m increasing my Hebrew Vocabulary. Keep up the great work!
